The Adult Work of Healing
Healing is more than learning how to deal with pain.
Healing is doing the deeper adult work of understanding the stories you tell yourself, learning to recognize the wounds that shape you, and unlearning unhealthy patterns to build a life that aligns with who you truly are.
When you're committed to your own healing you have the knowledge on how to grow and repair, so that we can collectively create healthier future generations.

WHO WE ARE
Empowering Counseling exists because we believe you are not defined by what happened to you. With the right support, awareness, and willingness to do the work, you can transform your pain into growth, resilience, and a deeper connection to yourself.
Our space is a place where you can feel seen, supported, and empowered to work toward healing — a judgement free zone where you can openly process your past, work on your relationships, and begin reconnecting with your identity, and by developing the tools needed to move forward with greater freedom and purpose.
Our Approach to Therapy
In simple terms, I'll help you understand how core wounds activate when you're in fight or flight, and teach you ways to calm your body so you can access your authentic voice to express your needs.
As a trauma-therapist I use Internal Family Systems, Somatic Awareness, and Attachment Theory to help you better understand yourself.
By helping you learn how to recognize when you're in survival mode I'm able to teach you ways to start regulating your nervous system.
This helps you engage in healthy conflict, build stronger communication skills and reconnect with your self-worth, so you can work toward building healthier relationships and greater happiness in life.

Who We Serve
All are welcome here.
We welcome people from all cultural, ethnic, spiritual, and personal backgrounds.
Your story, identity, values, beliefs, and experiences are an important part of who you are, and we believe they should be honored throughout the counseling process
We are a Christian-friendly therapy practice for people in Phoenix, Arizona but you do not have to practice a faith or be Christian to work with us.

The Framework We Integrate

Trauma-Informed Care
Understanding how past experiences shape your emotions, relationships, and responses while creating a safe space for healing.

Somatic Awareness
Connecting with your body to better understand emotions, stress, and your nervous system.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Understanding the different parts of yourself with curiosity and compassion to create greater inner balance.

Attachment Theory
Exploring how past relationships influence the way you connect, trust, and feel safe with others.

Faith and spirituality are an integral part of many people's lives.
Here we celebrate all forms of faith in a high power be it God, Universe, or another being. Faith is different from religion and we want to support people who may have religious trauma but still have faith.

Meet Bianca Bennett
We experience the world through relationships - our relationship to ourselves, family, friends, and romantic partners. This is where our pain often begins.
Most people know what it feels like to feel unseen, misunderstood, or rejected, and our earliest relationships shape how we engage in relationships as adults.
Even in situations where people have grown up in a "normal" family, we carry wounds.
As a trauma-informed therapist in Phoenix, Arizona, offering both virtual and in-person sessions, I bring a compassionate, personalized approach to every client I work with.
Communication is at the heart of my work as a counselor — learning to express your needs clearly, set boundaries, and build the healthy relationships you deserve.
